Kristy Gordon – Friday Night Guest – October 14, 2022

Kristy Gordon is a Canadian painter, living in New York City. She began her career in television animation, and worked for several years in this field, all the while painting landscapes at night. She later continued her education at the Academy of Realist Art, OCAD and New York Academy of Art. Today, Kristy feels that each of these experiences informs her art and contributes something important to the way that she paints. She stays curious as an artist, always exploring and finding new avenues of experimentation in her art.

Kristy generously shared her experience and knowledge about how she found her voice as an artist, how she made her dreams become reality by setting goals, and how she navigated the art world after arriving in NYC. Kristy also shared her knowledge of social media as a vital tool in transforming the agency that artists have in controlling their own marketing.
