Kathryn Adams – Friday Night Guest – February 21, 2025

Kathryn Adams shared with us her insights & experience to encourage us to dive in or to go deeper into the business of art.  She also showed us how we can find inspiration all around us.  Her presentation was called: “Easy to Find ; Alone in a crowd”

Kathryn’s wonderful illustrations are quick, captivating pen and ink drawings, often with watercolour & sometimes accompanied by special, talented lettering.  She used many of her delightful little images throughout the ideas she shared.

Some of Kathryn’s suggestions included: Create a website, even a basic one; use direct mail – no restrictions, no consent needed; consider stickers, an inexpensive promotional item; for safety, don’t share your home address; be courageous, or at least take small steps such as calling on galleries; persevere

We enjoyed Kathryn’s comprehensive, humourous approach and advice such as ‘You see a mousetrap,  I see free cheese and a challenge.’
