John David Anderson – Talk and Demonstration

Artist John David Anderson presented his special techniques on landscape painting. He focuses on the process which highlights the artist´s character and feelings.

For David, the three most important aspects of painting are:

• The light: It can often be resolved much like a cube study. In any painting there are three faces: top plane, side plane and back plane.
• Edges and edge control: An edge is the meeting of two contrasting values.
• Colour: Determines the temperature of your paintings.
