Friday April 1st Guest Artist Laurie McGugon

On April 1st Laurie McGugon presented slides of her work illustrating many of her projects which have been directed by ideas rather than the development of one medium. Beginning as a painter, she moved to public art and many other materials as required. She sees environmental issues underlying much of her public art and photography work.

Laurie McGugan walked us through the development of several of her projects, from concept to completion. She showed a short video on the making of the Circle of Trees, discussed the development of Silvae, her BC forestry project, how to build a fiberglass quilt and details on her most recent photo based work.
